The A Familia Yum logo was inspired by the Chinese character for the family name “Yum”. As we look at the etymology of Chinese characters, we can see their development from pictographs to the modern day written Chinese. The Yum family name here is represented by a man holding a hand tool — breaking down the family name to it’s roots and origins. The logo has a timelessness and classic appeal to it while remaining modern and somewhat trendy. The blue version of the logo reminds us of the blue and white street signs that can be seen in Macau’s historic Old Town.
