This digital illustration was a privately commissioned work. A portrait of legendary Peruvian cumbia (“chicha”) singer, Chacalon, it is inspired by the popular “Sarita Colonia”, an unofficial saint in Peru, whose image adorns everything from walls to buses all over Peru.
